Camelot robotic open day
After a lot of planning and organisation, plus aall the wonderful help and support of friends and family to get ready for and be tour leaders during our open day.
The day went off great with having beautiful weather for everyone and around 250 people in attendance to see and learn more about our robotic farm and how it works.
The open day was organised so that as people arrieved that registered into groups so that they were able to be showen around by one of the tour leaders. This ment that everyone got to have a chance to see all the different areas of the farm, including seeing and learning about; The actual robots that the cows walk into to be milked. The feedpad which at this time we have not started using. The vet/sorting area, seeing how, why and which ways the cows are able to be sorted. The raceways leading in to the yard and out to all the paddocks to get the cows to and from each new cow break. And also the calves which are on robotic calf feeders and able to be outside in the paddock at the same time.
The tours were followed by a small talk then lunch that was so kindly supplied by ANZ and ATS, to which we would like to say a big thank you.
We hope that everyone who was able to attend our open day we hope that you enjoyed the day and felt like you were able to see and learn more about the way that our robotic farm works.
Thanks again to all that were involved in the success of our open day!!
If you were not able to get all you questions answered on the day please feel free to email us.
